Architechniques was selected by SIU Credit Union to assist in the design of a new branch facility located in Harrisburg, Illinois. This new branch is 2,000 square feet and provides for 3 member service offices, teller lobby, drive thru and ATM. The facility was also designed to act as the secondary data center for the entire SIU Credit Union system.
Architechniques was selected by John A. Logan College to oversee the design and construction of the renovation of an existing building, recently purchased by the College, into the permanent home of the JALC Franklin County Extension Center. Up until this project was undertaken, JALC in Franklin county, had existing in rental spaces, with limited functionality, and room for programs and classes. This design featured renovation of over 10,000 square feet of space, and for the first time offered a program in Franklin County, in spaces that mirrored the offerings of the main campus. At the grand opening of this facility, the board of trustees announced that for the first time, a student could complete all classes required for an associate’s degree, without leaving Franklin County.
Architechniques was selected by Southern Illinois Healthcare and John A. Logan College to assist in the design, and to oversee the construction of a brand new space at JALC. This area comprised over 8,000 square feet and provided a training simulator for SIH and now McKendree College nursing students through a cooperative agreement with JALC. The training is done in simulated hospital settings, created in the design, and with high tech simulation mannequins by Laerdal Medical. We incorporated our expertise in both healthcare and higher education into one unique project. Centers like this are only be found elsewhere, in large metropolitan areas like St. Louis and Chicago.
Architechniques was selected by John A. Logan College to design and oversee construction of the renovations and expansion to the existing Cosmetology and Dental Assisting Departments. These areas were originally constructed in 1984 and had not seen any modernizations since that time. We brought the spaces, as well as the functions into the 21st Century, incorporating new equipment and providing space for new technologies and procedures.
Architechniques was selected by SIU Credit Union to assist in the design of a new branch facility. The new branch is 1,600 square feet and provides for 2 Member service offices, teller lobby, drive thru and ATM. The facility was also designed to allow for future expansion of the member services offices.
Architechniques was hired by the Illinois Capital Development Board to design and administer the construction for a new 9,500 square foot facility for use in the training of military fire fighers. The building includes a large bay constructed with a rigid frame steel structure and clad in face brick as well as two wings which house office space, classrooms, locker rooms, toilet/shower and storage areas.
Architechniques was hired by the Illinois Capital Development Board to design the historic preservation of the Cairo National Guard Armory in Cairo Illinois. In this facility ¾ century life span it had fallen into quite a state of disrepair. The exterior stone cap was removed, refurbished and reset. Exterior brick was cleaned and repointed. Interior brick was cleaned of efflorescence. The woodend gymnasium floor was repaired and refinished. Exterior historic windows were either replaced with historically representative windows or rebuilt.
Architechniques was hired by Southern Illinois Orthopedic Associates to expand and renovate their Orthopedic Center in Carbondale, Illinois. The expansion includes a new and enlarged physical therapy area, 2 exams rooms, occupational therapy area, waiting room, reception, and therapist workroom. In addition to the physical therapy expansion, the existing physical therapy was renovated to create a new doctor’s suite. This new suite includes 4 exam rooms, an office and a central nurse’s station.
